Miracles on the Sabbath

Jesus performed many miracles of healing on the Sabbath, for which He was frequently persecuted by the religious leaders of His day. These miracles included casting out a demon from a man in the synagogue at Capernaum (Mark 1:21-31), healing a man with a withered hand (Mark 3:1-5), healing a woman who had suffered from a “spirit of infirmity” for eighteen years (Luke 13:10-17), healing a man with dropsy (Luke 14:1-4), healing a crippled man by the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15), and giving sight to a man born blind from birth (John 9:1-7).
